₪ Quin is totally gorgeous, besides being quite pretty and all, the way she can bond with people is emotionaly touching. Since a small foal, Quinny has been the cuddly type, and is expected to keep her sweet nature as she grows. She gets along with most horses, and is often at the very bottom of the rankings in the herd pecking order since she is so sweet. Yet most of the staff beleive theres a different side to her, a longing spark that flash's through her eyes gives us that idea. Then we realized...that spark is only seen when shes running. She desires to show the world although shes a big softy and is at the bottom of the herd members, she can easily be at the top in a race, and shes not one to let another rival off lightly, and she does not give up. Ever.
Quin is about as docile as they come especially amongst racehorses. She's a sweet, loveable girl with a big heart. During turnout, Quin isn't the outcast, but it's clear that she's happy at the bottom of the herd order. She'd love to just eat grass all day and not worry about anything else.
On the track, Quintessential is completely different story. Her mind settles on the track and there's nothing in the world that will keep her from running. She likes to break near the back of the pack, but still somewhere in the middle. Leading is not one of her fortes in the early part of the race. Once the leaders start to fall, it's Quin's turn to fight. She can put on amazing bursts of speed with just the lightest tap of the stick. She can recognize a hole, and while not always correct, tries to plow through it before the hole closes. Once she's ahead with the wire in sight, Quin has no problem with running her ordinarily meek heart out.
People and horses are in the same boat for Quin. Everyone at the barn loves her and even the horses don't seem to mind her presence. She fades into the background a lot and if it weren't for triple checking the horses, Quin would be left behind a lot more often.
History

₪ Quintessential was purchase by Merganser Thoroughbreds as a two year old. She was bought alongside Gold Fox. She never entered a prospect race and how he'll do in February is uncertain.
